James and I have always dreamed of owning land and having a cabin built. We also knew that we had to wait until my last daughter graduated from high school. I was searching and noticed that you could get more for your house and it is not based on the appraisal value. I started searching for land and put my email address out there, and someone by the name of Rebecca Peden sent me an email and asked what was I looking for in land, and questions about my home. I will never forget meeting her at Cracker Barrel near my job and I knew by the grace of God, this was the woman who would make our dreams come true. She is a personable woman who made me feel like this is something we could do with the support of her. The day came for Rebecca to come to the house and give me the rundown of everything that she felt needed to be done to get my house sold. She was very honest in a professional way but let me know what had to be done to get my house sold. I listened to every word she said and did everything she said. Rebecca does this for a living, I do not so it only made sense to listen to her. We remodeled the house to the extreme of wanting clients to come see our house back to back when it went on the market. New floors, new carpet, new doorknobs, new kitchen appliances, year old roof, new stained deck, etc etc… This is an example of what we went through to make our life dream come true. When it was time to put the house on the market, Rebecca always made sure the asking price was an average fair price and never up sell or low ball what this house should be priced. We received an offer in 24 hours after hitting the market on September 1st. But we always both learned a lot from that too. The buyers backed out days before closing and Rebecca was forced to put it back on the market. We were back under contract on the house again. Things worked out and I closed on my home of 14 years on October 27th 2017. Without going into more detail, I will say that Rebecca fought long and hard and made sure we were able to sell the house AND get the land we put a contract on with 5 acres. Rebecca is a what it means to be a realtor. Rebecca never stopped trying to make James and I dreams come true. She never expected more financially than she knew we could handle. I never had an issue getting in touch with Rebecca. This was my first house sell and first land buy. I am truly grateful she was the one who answered my email and found me the way that I found her.
